Welcome to Talamh Books! (Pronounced TAH-luv.)Our tagline is "Classic Literature in Modern Form," and that's exactly our mission: to make available the classics of literature in a format that is beneficial to and desired by modern readers.
Why ebooks?
Few - we least of all - would deny the virtues of physical books, but ebooks are poised to become a formidable challenger for the present and future. Among the reasons for the growing popularity of ebooks are:
Portability: Readers can take hundreds or even thousands of ebooks anywhere with today's powerful laptop computers and ebook readers.
Cost: Given their entirely virtual nature, ebooks are much less expensive to produce than physical books, so the cost to readers is also much lower.
Selection: Readers looking for physical books that may not have a sufficiently wide audience to justify large-scale, continuous reprints may face trouble in their search. To help alleviate that problem, we intend to grow our selection here at Talamh Books to include even those literary classics that may not be mainstream-famous.
